Codman Academy seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Healthcare Pathway Instructor to lead a semester-long career exploration course for 7th and 8th grade students. This role is part of the Professional Leadership and Career Engagement (PLACE) Department and is designed to give middle schoolers structured, engaging exposure to the breadth of careers available in healthcare — from nursing and medicine to public health, medical research, health technology, and community health work. As a Healthcare Pathway Instructor, you will help 7th and 8th graders begin to imagine themselves as the nurses, researchers, public health leaders, and community healers of the future — often for the first time.

The instructor will teach two 60-minute sessions per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:15–4:15 PM) from August 31, 2026 through January 22, 2027. A scope and sequence is provided; the instructor will use it as the foundation for developing lesson plans, activities, and learning experiences that bring healthcare careers to life for young adolescents. This is not a clinical or academic science course — it is a career exploration course grounded in curiosity, identity, and community.

This role reports to the Director of PLACE and coordinates with the PLACE Associate for logistics, partner scheduling, and student tracking.
