Structural Design Engineer (Buildings)

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Have a passion for Structural Engineering.
- Have taken, or on-track to attain a Professional Engineer licensure.
- Perform specific and/or limited portions of broader assignments for licensed Engineers on projects receiving close supervision.
- Develop engineering knowledge of Codes, Design Standards, Material Standards, and software for the analysis of many different structure types.
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Perform construction administration tasks (submittal reviews, RFI’s, code review responses, etc.) under the supervision of a licensed Engineer.
- Coordinate assignments with others to maintain overall project schedule.
- Demonstrate continued and progressive technical development.
- Conduct construction observation under direction of supervisor(s).
- Willingness to ask questions and constructively discuss issues.
- As experience progresses, attend project meetings and involvement with Clients with the emphasis on being helpful to the Client.
- Build client relationships.
Recommended Education / Training: BSCE or MSCE
