Building Performance Analyst Intern

Job description

ENERlite Consulting, Inc. is an innovative energy efficiency consulting firm, and it is growing! We are looking for an Energy Modeling/Energy Analyst intern to join our team. In this position, you need to:

  • Develop whole-building energy models and calculate cooling and heating loads and buildings’ total annual energy consumption.
  • Analyze buildings’ energy data and compare actual metered and submetered data with energy modeling outputs.
  • Prepare reports and certification documents (i.e., LEED documents) for projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Master’s degree in architecture, mechanical engineering, or any related field is required. Pursuing an advanced degree in building technology, sustainable design, or building performance modeling is required.
  • Knowledge about energy simulation programs such as EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, IES VE, OpenStudio, and LadyBug Tools is required.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit is required.
  • Experience coding (i.e., Python, Ruby) is required.
  • Passion for and Experience with data analysis is required.
  • Familiarity with California T-24 and CBECC modeling is preferred.
