Position: Arts Education Intern

Location: In-Person

Reports to: Education Department

Terms of Internship: Part-time

(Some Weekends and Evenings – this is flexible and based on your schedule).

Position Available Beginning: January 13th, 2026

About Us: Hollywood Art and Culture Center is a dynamic cultural arts center in South Florida. In our main building, formerly the esteemed Kagey Mansion, we house two professional galleries, a community gallery, a multi-purpose arts auditorium, a visual arts studio, a digital media lab, and a film screening room. We also manage an Artist in Residence studio, a 500-seat Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center, and the 72-seat art-house Cinema Paradiso. Within our four locations, we provide an assortment of visual and performing art programs and events for adults, children, families, and educators.

About the Role:

Hollywood Art and Culture Center is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as the Arts Education intern. In this role, you will work alongside the Education Department as we prepare and execute our fall programs and events, as well as the grand opening of our new Arts Education building. As a team member, you support both administrative and creative functions, including sourcing and organizing art supplies, working alongside professional artists to deliver programming, and communicating program details. Your work will contribute to the art experiences of the Center’s program attendees and visitors.

The three main courses of development for this role are:

Administrative – Understanding the administrative needs involved in bringing the arts into the community in an engaging way.

Creative – Working within budgets/time constraints to exercise creative skills and develop art projects that align with established learning objectives. You will be using your critical thinking skills to help implement creative activities into the community in a strategic and dynamic way.

Operations – Directly learn logistics and operations involved in establishing arts programming, creative workflows, and organizational operations.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Education Department staff as they plan, prepare, and organize materials for arts programming.
  • Packing and preparing art supplies for different locations.
  • Creating and maintaining archives of education documents and materials.
  • Organizing and inventorying our supply of visual art materials.
  • Sorting and compiling packets of documents.
  • Performing administrative tasks
  • Assisting with other programming tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates will have experience:

  • Communicating with diverse audiences of all ages.
  • Working independently and on a team.
  • Navigating a fast-paced environment.
  • Delegating Tasks.
  • Taking initiative to complete tasks.
  • Working with kids.
  • Connection with the arts and education.
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
